eterna primavera

Exuberant antique style furniture hand carved in Colombia and popular tattoo motifs have inspired the, “eterna primavera” table.
Constructed from two different manufacturing styles from opposite sides of the world, the table was conceived whilst in Medellin, Colombia. Incorporating traditional techniques but designed replacing classic patterns with popular tattoo art, the table’s base was hand carved in Colombia. Specific tattoo images of hearts, flowers and swallows have been chosen to symbolise Medellin, the city of “eternal spring”. The tabletop was then produced in Australia using laser cut stainless steel, adapting tattoo motifs to blend with the base. Curves were introduced to present a unique yet practical way of utilising a tabletop and continuing the flow from the legs into its usual flat surface.
